Vada Seva Begins: A New Chapter in Tirumala’s Sacred Hospitality

At the Sri Tarigonda Vengamamba Nitya Annaprasada Kendra in Tirumala, a new initiative has begun where vadas are being served to devotees during both morning and evening meals. This has brought immense joy to thousands of pilgrims who visit the sacred shrine every day. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the temple, has made this addition to enhance the experience of Annaprasadam the free meal service provided to devotees as part of their spiritual visit.

Every day, between 70,000 to 75,000 vadas are being freshly prepared and distributed along with the regular meal items. The preparation starts early in the morning under strict hygiene and quality standards. Dedicated kitchen staff and volunteers ensure that the vadas are crisp, fresh, and served hot to the devotees. The massive volume of food preparation reflects the temple’s comamitment to providing nourishing and satisfying meals to all devotees, regardless of their background or region.

This initiative not only adds variety to the Annaprasadam menu but also symbolizes the temple’s efforts in improving hospitality and upholding tradition. Vada, being a popular South Indian item, is well-received by the devotees. The move is also seen as part of TTD’s continuous efforts to expand services and better manage the growing number of pilgrims visiting Tirumala. With this, the Annaprasada Kendra continues to stand as a symbol of community service, devotion, and hospitality.
