Taiwan has taken a bold step in showcasing its defensive capabilities by deploying U.S.-supplied High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) during the latest round of Han Kuang military exercises. These war games, held near the city of Taichung, are part of Taiwan’s annual military readiness operations designed to simulate and prepare for a potential Chinese invasion. The participation of HIMARS systems marks a significant leap in Taiwan’s strategic deterrence and highlights deepening defense cooperation between Taipei and Washington.
