RAJAGOPAL REDDY SLAMS REVANTH OVER MUNUGODU
Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy once again hit out at Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy with controversial remarks. He accused the Chief Minister of ignoring the development of Munugodu constituency and expressed his disappointment over not being given a ministerial post. Rajagopal Reddy, who has been a strong voice from Munugodu, said that his people are suffering because the government is not releasing the required funds.
Complaint about Funds and Development
Rajagopal Reddy said that his constituency was being neglected when it comes to developmental works. He alleged that the state government is deliberately not sanctioning funds for projects in Munugodu. According to him, this negligence is directly affecting the people. He reminded the government that it is the duty of any ruling party to work for all constituencies equally, not only for the areas where it has strong political presence.
He made a special mention of the Valigonda–Choutuppal road project. The MLA demanded that the government immediately release the pending bill for this road. He said that thousands of people use this road every day, and any delay in its completion is causing huge inconvenience to the public. “Why should Munugodu people suffer due to political reasons? Roads and infrastructure are basic needs and the government must respond quickly,” he added.
Not Being Given Minister Post
Rajagopal Reddy also expressed his unhappiness over being ignored in cabinet expansion. He pointed out that despite winning from Munugodu and playing an active role in politics, he was not given a ministerial berth. He alleged that CM Revanth Reddy is sidelining senior leaders and only encouraging his close associates. “When leaders like me, who have public support, are ignored, how can justice be done to my constituency?” Rajagopal asked.
He claimed that his only aim is to serve the people of Munugodu and not just enjoy political power. However, he made it clear that being excluded from the cabinet is an insult not just to him but to the people who trusted and elected him.
Call to Voters in Local Body Elections
In his speech, Rajagopal Reddy also appealed to the people regarding the upcoming local body elections. He urged voters to elect good and capable people who will genuinely work for the villages and towns. He said that local bodies play a key role in solving people’s issues, whether it is about sanitation, water supply, roads, or welfare schemes.
Rajagopal Reddy also warned that if people elect corrupt and inefficient leaders at the local level, it will directly affect development in their own villages. “We need strong local representatives who can fight for people’s rights and ensure government schemes reach the common man,” he said.
Political Heat Rises
These comments have once again created a political buzz in Telangana. Rajagopal Reddy has been known for his bold and controversial statements. His sharp criticism of CM Revanth Reddy has attracted attention both inside and outside the Congress party. While some say his comments reflect the genuine problems of Munugodu people, others believe he is trying to put pressure on the Chief Minister to secure a cabinet position.
Political analysts say that Rajagopal Reddy’s repeated attacks on the government could cause rifts within the Congress at a time when unity is much needed. They also note that his statements might encourage opposition parties like the BJP and BRS to target the ruling party on issues of neglect and favoritism.
Conclusion
Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy’s recent remarks highlight both political tensions and developmental challenges. His demand for the immediate release of the Valigonda–Choutuppal road bill, his disappointment over not being made a minister, and his call for electing capable leaders in the local polls have all sparked debate in the state. Whether the government will respond to his concerns or treat them as political pressure tactics remains to be seen. But one thing is clear the voice of Munugodu MLA has once again made headlines in Telangana politics.
