PM Modi Leads Grand Yoga Day Celebrations in Andhra Pradesh

The International Day of Yoga 2025 was marked by a grand national-level celebration led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, held along the scenic 26 km stretch from RK Beach to Bhogapuram in Andhra Pradesh. This event was part of the larger “Yoga Sangam” initiative and showcased India’s cultural heritage and commitment to holistic health. Themed “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” the celebration emphasized the interconnectedness of individual well-being, community health, and planetary sustainability.

An estimated 300,000 participants gathered in unison to perform the Common Yoga Protocol, creating a stunning visual spectacle of coordinated movement and mindfulness. The massive gathering included yoga enthusiasts, students, health workers, and dignitaries, all united by the shared purpose of promoting physical and mental well-being. The program featured traditional chants, live demonstrations, and inspirational speeches, including an address by PM Modi highlighting yoga’s role in fostering unity and resilience in today’s fast-paced world.

The RK Beach Bhogapuram stretch was transformed into a massive open-air yoga venue, with elevated platforms, LED screens, medical support, and water stations to accommodate the participants comfortably. Volunteers ensured smooth coordination, while the event was broadcast nationwide, encouraging millions more to join remotely. The celebration not only reinforced India’s leadership in the global yoga movement but also promoted Andhra Pradesh as a vibrant and health-conscious destination.
