KCR Pays Tribute to Telangana Movement Journalist Swetcha Votarkar

BRS chief and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) expressed deep condolences over the demise of senior journalist and Telangana movement activist swetcha Votarkar. Recalling his contributions, KCR said swetcha Votarkar. was not just a journalist, but a socially conscious poet whose writings resonated with the hopes and struggles of the Telangana people during the statehood movement.

KCR acknowledged that swetcha played a pivotal role in highlighting the voices of the oppressed through his journalism and poetry. His words carried the essence of Telangana’s identity and spirit, inspiring many to join the movement for a separate state. His commitment to justice, truth, and the welfare of marginalized communities stood out in his journalistic career.

Expressing grief over his passing, KCR conveyed heartfelt sympathies  to swetcha Votarkar’s family and admirers. He remarked that Telangana lost a passionate voice that always stood by the people. KCR concluded by stating that Uddhava’s legacy would live on through his impactful work and the inspiration he gave to a generation of activists and writers.
