Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa: Financial Relief for 4.45 Lakh Farm Workers
The Telangana government is set to implement a major welfare initiative for landless agricultural laborers under the ‘Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa’ scheme. In the first week of July, financial assistance amounting to ₹261 crore will be disbursed directly into the bank accounts of 4,45,304 eligible beneficiaries. This move aims to support the economic well-being of poor and landless agricultural workers across the state.
Eligibility for the scheme is based on specific criteria. Laborers who possess an employment guarantee job card and have completed a minimum of 20 days of work are entitled to receive the benefits. By linking the assistance to actual work done, the government ensures that the support reaches those who are genuinely active in the agricultural labor sector, promoting fairness and transparency.
This scheme follows the earlier release of ‘Rythu Bharosa’ funds, demonstrating the government’s continued commitment to the rural workforce and the agricultural sector. By providing direct financial aid, the government seeks to enhance the livelihoods of laborers who form the backbone of the farming economy, thereby contributing to rural development and poverty alleviation.
