A Heartbreaking Farewell to God
Deeti Rohit, a 23-year-old youth from Vemulawada, penned a deeply emotional and philosophical letter to Lord Shiva before taking his own life. In the note, Rohit questioned the divine, asking, “Did you write my suicide note that would drive you crazy?” His words reflected pain, confusion, and a deep sense of betrayal. He seemed to plead for recognition, asking, “Your son’s suicide note is not like that! Aren’t we sons too?” highlighting his feeling of abandonment by God.
Dreams Crushed by Circumstance
Rohit’s dream was to become a doctor, a goal he had long cherished. However, due to his family’s financial struggles, that ambition remained unfulfilled. This disappointment appears to have weighed heavily on him, pushing him into a state of despair. In his final words, he stated, “My wish to write the best suicide letter has now come true. I don’t want another birth,” clearly expressing his disillusionment with life and the burden of unmet aspirations.
A Cry That Echoes Beyond Death
Rohit’s suicide has left his community in shock and grief. His powerful letter not only reveals the intensity of his inner turmoil but also serves as a heartbreaking reminder of how dreams can be shattered by harsh realities. The incident underscores the urgent need for mental health support and for society to pay closer attention to the emotional struggles of youth burdened by expectations and economic challenges.
