Another Fire Accident Strikes Pashamilaram Industrial Area

A major fire accident occurred again in the industrial hub of Pashamilaram, located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, sending waves of panic across the region. The blaze broke out in the early hours of Sunday at a chemical warehouse, with flames quickly spreading due to the presence of flammable substances stored inside. Local residents reported hearing a loud explosion followed by thick plumes of black smoke that engulfed the sky.

According to preliminary reports, the fire started around 4:30 AM and rapidly intensified. Firefighters from nearby stations rushed to the scene with multiple fire tenders. Despite their swift response, the intensity of the fire made it difficult to control, and additional backup was called in. The fire continued to rage for over four hours before being brought under control. Officials are still monitoring the area to prevent any secondary explosions.

This is not the first such incident in Pashamilaram, which has seen repeated industrial fire accidents over the past few years. The recurring fires have raised serious concerns over safety standards and regulatory enforcement in the region. Many warehouses and factories here deal with hazardous chemicals, and several of them allegedly operate with inadequate safety protocols or outdated infrastructure.

So far, no casualties have been officially reported, though a few workers sustained minor injuries due to smoke inhalation and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have sealed the affected unit and ordered a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire. The Pollution Control Board has also been notified to assess environmental damage and toxic emissions caused by the accident.

Local residents and workers have expressed anger and frustration, accusing factory owners of negligence and officials of turning a blind eye to repeated safety violations. Community leaders are demanding a comprehensive safety audit of all industrial units in the area and stricter enforcement of fire safety laws to prevent further disasters.

The Telangana government has assured strict action and compensation for affected workers. However, the latest accident underscores the urgent need for reform and oversight in Pashamilaram’s fast-growing but danger-prone industrial zone, where economic growth continues to outpace safety preparedness.
