Amaravati to Become South Asia’s First Quantum Valley: CM Chandrababu Naidu
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled a bold vision to transform the state’s capital, Amaravati, into South Asia’s first Quantum Computing Valley. Emphasizing the second chapter of the technological revolution, Naidu stated that quantum computing will be the next big leap in innovation and economic growth. Speaking at a workshop held at the Novotel Hotel in Vijayawada, the CM reiterated his commitment to making Amaravati a global hub for futuristic technologies.
Joining him at the event, Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh elaborated on the government’s roadmap for Amaravati Quantum Valley. He announced that the ambitious project is expected to generate one lakh jobs over the next five years. Lokesh highlighted that the initiative will focus on building infrastructure, fostering research and development, and inviting global tech leaders to invest and collaborate in this emerging quantum ecosystem.
The workshop witnessed participation from industry experts, academicians, and technology entrepreneurs, who discussed the potential of quantum computing in transforming sectors like healthcare, cybersecurity, finance, and artificial intelligence. The Andhra Pradesh government is keen on creating an innovation-friendly environment through policy support and strategic partnerships. With this move, Amaravati is poised to become a technological powerhouse, paving the way for a knowledge-driven economy in India and beyond
