First Bonam at Golconda Marks Grand Start to Bonalu Festivities

Tomorrow marks the first Bonam offering of the season at the historic Sri Jagadamba Mahankali Temple in Golconda Fort, Hyderabad. This traditional ritual, part of the Ashada Jatara, is a deeply revered beginning of the Bonalu festival. Devotees, dressed in vibrant attire, will carry decorated pots filled with rice, jaggery, curd, and turmeric water, symbolizing their devotion and gratitude to the goddess for her protection and blessings.
